We are pleased to sponsor the 2010 Crystal Ball for a Cure for ALS and Muscular Dystrophy.  One of my sons good friends was diagnosed with MD several years ago and this even has come to mean a great deal for me and my family.  We are creating this years raffle, Journey for a Cure- a one of a kind pendant with an emerald.  Tickets will be on sale at the Crystal Ball for $25.00.

The Foundation Information:

David Nygaard is pleased to announce the debut of his charitable foundation that will provide support for selected charities clustered in the areas of children’s health and education. This new   501 (c) 3 organization will raise awareness and funding for these charities through signature in-store events, key partnerships and with other organizations.

The David Nygaard Foundation envisions a local community where the weakest and most fragile of our citizens—our children—are protected and supported through strategic initiatives to be healthy, wealthy and wise. We envision a community-based, high tech delivery system of the latest in medical research to combat childhood enemies such as heart disease, cancer and diabetes. We envision well-funded local charities such as the Ronald McDonald House that respond to the non-medical but crucial needs of families in crisis. We believe that the business community can come together around our children to form a safety net of compassion that helps embattled families respond to overwhelming trauma in their lives.

Key Programs and Partners

At present the Foundation is just beginning and has no other administrative expenses and 100% of the donations remain in the charity to fund the projects.  To date, the foundation has contributed to many other charities, but we hope to begin fully funding our own projects on behalf of these charities as we grow with your help.  Look for future opportunities with these groups to help increase our impact on local charities for children.

The David Nygaard Foundation works with Commonwealth Gem Lab, LLC to receive donations of gold, diamonds, gemstones, or jewelry.  All donations are tax deductible and you will receive a fair market appraisal to include for your taxes.
